In social group, there exists several hierarchies. In core hierarchies, these
people contribute more than those in peripheral hierarchies for conversation and
suggestion proposing. However, members in peripheral hierarchies are much more than other core hierarchies. That makes the phenomenon in ordinary life which is major opinions could not be the most people's ideas.
The phenomenon could be a big problem in finding solutions for society. Because what most people think is not such convenient for investigation that a bigger part of society are ignored, social networks should help for this.
Firstly, why core hierarchies can get more attention than peripheral hierarchies? The reason may be the advantages which core hierarchies have. For example, education background would bring a attention in a conversation or a conference for the core hierarchies since members of core hierarchies always have high education degree. In addition, members in core hierarchies may have good out-looking, skills in eloquence, power and wealth, and so on. On the other side, disadvantages of members in peripheral hierarchies are ashamed to post a suggestion or opinion.
As the phenomenon are so common, we can find some normal examples in real life. Assuming that a group of students intend to dine together, they discuss on which restaurant is best. Some in core hierarchies suggest soon, while other in peripheral hierarchies keep silent. If these in peripheral hierarchies are asked for suggestion, they would just follow the suggestion from those in core hierarchies. Therefore, the decision mainly come from people in core hierarchies.
Then, in social networking, we comes a problem that how to get peripheral hierarchies participating more. Encouraging and respecting might be the efficient solution. In social networking, people in core hierarchies are always easy to get attention, while other in peripheral hierarchies are lonely and self-pleasing. That's why attention is curing peripheral hierarchies.
My suggestion on what we could encouraging peripheral hierarchies is that we should make users in attention fair condition and give users chances on high concerns. Below shows two ideas in social networks.
1.Randomly topmost users' news.
If we randomly topmost user's news, no matter people is in core hierarchies or peripheral ones there still is a chance to show out oneself on public and get high attention. This would inspire everyone to do his/her best on networks.
2.Remark users' word instead of user's popularity.
Remarking user's word means that social networks focus on cultural atmosphere. As people in peripheral hierarchies could be more charming than what they normally perform, remarking what one speaks in wisdom are helpful for them to express good to get attentions.
To summarize, people in peripheral hierarchies are the major part of social networking although they contribute less to social contacts. Successfully encouraging them into expressing should be one of the standards which is to justify a good social network.

An product for exchanging imformation
Last week, our group discussed on Google Doc. We found giving comments on the same issue could help us conclude some interesting ideas. As we gave opinions onto the article, the same parts we both think important would come out soon. From this way, we easily discover useful imformation, which inspires me to a product about imformation exchanging.
First, this product works on close friends and family members. The product will record the things and people they meet every day and take down their comments. These comments would share on data bank, and automatically compare with other user's comments. The same part would be post with the user's names to those user who have given on the same topic. Our product will help user easily find their potential workmates, partner and problem-solving ways.
There is a question always bother me, which is I don't know who of my friends and family could help me on given problems. If we do have known the same person or object, we can exchange our imformation about it and help each other to solve problems.
As there is something we don't want to share with other strangers, this product is limited within close friends and family. And to protect our user's private imformations, the exchanged imformation would just be sent to two side user of direct connection. It means you cannot get the comments from your friend's friend unless you are also friend of the person.
Finally, I believe exchanging imformation is an enormous demand on social networks as an result of imformation technology developing in high speed.

What will children get in Internet? --Social networking's responsibility
Last week, a research, which shows children would imitate aggressive behavior from watching video, had deeply touched my heart. It remind me of some pictures that I saw before on Internet. Here are some typical images of them.
Smoking;
Kissing;
Early-maturing;
Even though these affairs also happen in other generations such like 90s and 80s, but these do become worse and more widespread recently.
Nowadays we can see immoral and evil photos everywhere in Internet. What make things worse is that children are more easily getting connected with Internet. As the cellphones are handy for them as well as computers.
On the other hand, parents should be self-questioning about their teaching way. Letting children get access to Internet early would bring a lot problems. Because Internet is lack of children caring.
Therefore social networking has responsibility on children caring. What children get is actually what we put on. We must figure out why the pictures below occur.
Social networking should be one of fundamental facilities for people to live better, instead of a dirty and evil poor absorbing children into. When we built up one networking platform, the first thing we consider should be what this platform might bring to people. Because this is the social networking's responsibility.

Some ideas about Derived Social Recommendations
Last week, I got some ideas about Derived Social Recommendations. I may introduce the three types of Derived Social Recommendations firstly.
Item-based Filtering:
Pick from your previous list 20-50 items that have similar people with “the target item”, how much you will like the target item depends on how much the others liked those earlier items.
Content-based Filtering:
Information needs of user and characteristics of items are represented in keywords, attributes, tags that describe past selections.An item is recommended to the user based on the scores calculated according to these preferences and characteristics.
Then comes the first question: What would happen if we mix them into one filter?
Undoubtedly the filtering may recommend a large range of products based on user's characteristic. In this case, the large range may not be our initial aim because user may lose their target again and ignore the filter.
Therefore we should choose one from the three types of Derived Social Recommendations according to what product we aim to recommend.
Second, I have a idea about Derived Social Recommendations that is background-based filtering.
Background-based Filtering
Background such as education level, hobby, age define a group of customers. The products they have bought create a sort of characteristic according to how much they may like the products.
This may be similar with the user-based filtering. But the key advantage of this filtering is that the defined characteristic keep changing according to the change of the whole background. I believe background-based filtering can match customer's demand best.
